Mosquito Repellent Circuit Using 555 timer

Complete Video Guide For Making This

Circuit In Proteus Professional

Components Required

  • Battery
  • 555 timer
  • Polarized capacitors
  • Resistors
  • Rheostat
  • Sounder

How This Circuit Works

The main component of the circuit is 555 timer which produces pulses of 62 KHz with the combination of resistors and capacitors. By changing  value of R2 which can be a rheostat or variable resistor we can change the frequency.555 timer produces a frequency which can be heard by the insects. The insects get irritated with this noise and will not come near to you.In this circuit a sounder is used so that you can hear the noise of certain frequency.

Steps To Make the Circuit On Proteus:

Open proteus professional.exe and pick components from pick devices.

Place all the components on the screen as shown in upper picture and give them Specifiy values according to the picture.

Connect one component with the other as per diagram.Click on one edge
Of the first component and then click on the others edge , a wire will connect Both.

Diagnose each component value and connection.

Play the circuit if circuit works then congrates J otherwise repeat step 4.

Take a print out of the circuit for your presentation

Diagnostics:   Remove C6 from the circuit and replace R2 with variable resistor.
